Who We Are

Founded in 1988, IFC is a nonprofit organization that exists to equip local organizations to develop
Friends with International Students (FIS) programs that connect international students and American
friends.

The ultimate goal is to have an American Friend for every international student who signs up for one.
Every American who wishes to participate in the Friendship program with an international student
must attend a training session and agree to abide by IFC’s ethical guidelines.

We serve with a team of IFC Members who, together strive to achieve IFC’s ultimate goal of providing a
registered American friend for every international student who signs up for one.
